Today at E3, Microsoft further unveiled their new motion gaming peripheral Xbox Kinect, which has been codenamed Project Natal for quite some time. The motion 'controller' was actually first revealed at last year's E3 show but today it had its real debut.
At the Microsoft press conference today, a collection of launch games have been shown off. One of these games, I couldn't help but notice, bears a striking similarity to another game released over five years ago on the PlayStation 2. That, coupled with the Kinect name, made me extremely suspicious.
It seems as if the Kinect's 'Your Shape' launch game is quite similar to the PS2's EyeToy Kinetic game. Check out the trailers for both titles and see for yourself.

How can this be? Microsoft is touting their controller-less gaming as something never done before. Clearly people over in R&D were struggling for ideas. Porting old ideas and old technology to new hardware and slapping on a high price tag does not make it 'the next step in gaming'.
I really hope that Microsoft picks up their game. I was honestly looking forward to Project Natal, but that ship has since sailed.
